I don't think this is a "metroidvania", even a lite one.  It's completely linear; there's not even much exploration, with levels that small.

And the message...makes no sense.  How do "exodus", "from", and "earth" suggest coordinates?  What's "altitude" in space?  What even?

It was a game made for a school project, it's not that deep.

I mean, fair.

Would be great to be able to skip/speed-up dialogue.  The game overall looks great and plays pretty well.  I agree that "E" was a strange choice for firing.

You can skip through dialogue using either Spacebar or Enter which is mentioned in the controls menu. :)

And yes, per my reply to bigjus, you can now shoot with either X or Z.

using the "e" key for fire is weird when the rest of the controls are based around the bottom of the keyboard layout ... x or z would be a better choice ?

I will admit, the game was mostly designed around my preferred way of playing, which is the WASD style, hence why I chose E as the shooting key.

However, I've now updated the game to include X and Z as acceptable inputs as well (and amended the controls screen accordingly).
